Asseco South Eastern Europe (Asseco SEE), a leading provider of banking software solutions, has announced that it has been listed as a Representative Vendor in the Gartner “Market Guide for Digital Banking Platforms” report.

According to Gartner, digital banking platforms (DBPs) “lay the foundation for those banks that wish to transform themselves into digital businesses. Two different approaches to this transformation journey have started to emerge for CIOs.” Having identified significant changes in the deployment of DBPs over the last nine months, Gartner highlights the following approaches whose differences stem from the different goals banks have for digital transformation: “Type X This approach to transformation, via the deployment of DBPs, has a higher degree of focus on enabling the bank — or nonbank —  to achieve digital business models. It enables business innovation by connecting an open platform to internal and external business ecosystems and platforms… Type Y. This approach to transformation, via the deployment of DBPs, is focused more on business optimization than on digital transformation.… The vendor offerings in both segments enable banks to achieve transformation, but in different ways.” (Gartner, Market Guide for Digital Banking Platforms, Stessa Cohen, Moutusi Sau, 27 August 2018)
